Henry Turner Jr. established Henry Turner Jr.s’ Listening Room in 2014. The venue is open every Thursday from 8:00pm to midnight and is dedicated to promoting and introducing new and original musical talent. Since opening last year the club has hosted local, regional and national touring acts. Each show has multiple performers and closes with a headline performance by Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor.
Local acts have included the ‘thinking man’s drinking band,’ The Rakers, The Void, American Idol contestant Mikey Duran, guitarist Ashton Proctor and Almost Human, singer/songwriter Anna Byers, saxophonist St. Frantic and singer/guitarist Nicole Garabati. The venue also hosted the record release party for My Scene TV host, Krystal Parker.
Regional acts have included New Orleans blues man Bjorn Jacobsen, Orleans Records’ Carlo Ditta and American poet John Sinclair, rockers Dulac Smack, Nashville’s Danika Holmes and Jeb Hart, with national touring act, X-Factor contestant and Boston based, Skylar.
